Green boogers, pot stickers and Hawaii

Okay where do I start.....its been so long I dont know if I remember how to do this!!
Well we headed of this weekend to Wenatchee for Zachs Grandpas 80th birthday, it was nice to see family and he made a wonderful speech about how he wouldnt be here without us and of course it brought everyone to tears!
Monday senior Bruizer had a dental appt. we dropped him off and headed to the sports gymnastics for some open gym! Too much fun!
I wish I had the extra long trampoline throughtout the house so as Im running back and forth from room to room I can get some excersize and Zach wanted the spring filled floors because he....well HAD A GREAT TIME!!!
Zach headed home after the exciting gym experience and lunch at DQ of course! We headed up to his grandmas for dinner! Yum, Carolyn made my favorite dessert and I think I gained about 42 pounds!
Then my children decide to catch the case of the green boogers and are no fun:( And all through this week my daughter is asking to head home..so sad!
Usually when Im in Wenatchee I try and see everyone I can to make the trip worth it, not this time. We met my mom for lunch Tuesday and went back to my moms, Zoe fell asleep at 500pm and didnt wake up until 7am the next morning!
Missing out on the ever popular POT STICKERS!!! My favorite, Zach hates them so I only get them at my moms. they were dil. and well worth it!
Well then its Wed. We get up get going and then head to great grams for a little visit and then lunch.
Go to my moms get Bruizer and head home! Boring I know but good to see the fam!
Oh and yes, as we finish up with lunch I tell Zoe we are going to get Bruizer and head home, she replies " NO, I want to go to Hawaii!"
" Sure I say"
And as we are driving home, she wakes up and says something...I say "okay we are almost home."
"NO, I want to go to Hawaii"
"Dont we all I say!"

One funny story though-
Im on white trail road and come up to some guy pulled over, as I get there he speads off and I wait for the cop to get moving. I then proceed to the Quincy highway and what do you know- the same guy is pulled over AGAIN!!! Ha
So I keep going and am all the way to the Handford barracade by Yakima and check my rearview, what do you know that speed racer is on my tail!
I think he has a problem
Anyway, here are some pics from this weekend!

Anyway, glad to be back in the blogging world!

Well I dont have any pictures today but a few thoughts!
You know those moments when you think everything is going sour, and not your way! Ive been feeling that way a little bit, mostly about life, money, economy etc. It seems to me that alot of people are feeling ths money burden and are taken serious action. I have a couple friends that are thinking of moving into apartments or duplexes to lighten the blow, even selling a car to have just one and dealing with staying at home until the car is available.
It sounds crazy I know but in the long run could it be worth it? I mean can you imagine being debt free by the time you are 50 and have retirement- its totally possible.
There are so many things I want to do, travel, go to dinner, buy a coffee, buy a gift just because (without it being a holiday)- but it seems like this huge guilty feeling comes over me becuase I could use that money for diapers or gas.
Im trying to be realistic and plan for our future but I dont feel like I have anything to sacrifice anymore.
Im just so overwhelmed, as is my husband and many of my friends!
Times are really tought out there for everyone and I just want to win the lotto- thats all

whats happnin?

So for those family members (or friends) that dont hear the day to days I thought I would share some pictures and some events that have happened lately!
First I want to show you my new shoes that I got for Christmas- they just arrived in the mail and I cant take them off- (I would wear them to bed if I could!)
Not very exciting to you (the reader) but to me THEY ARE FABULOUS.....Okay enough about boring old me and on with the fun news!

Zach has had a lime tree for a couple years now and he has put heart and soul into keeping the stupid thing alive- well he got another brilliant idea and through an avacodo seed in with his lime tree. Much to our suprise the thing starting growing- So this weekend he put the little sprout into its own pot! You can see it if you looke closely!
Next up- Miss Zoe! She got these great earrings for Christmas from my dad, well, she wont take them off! She even wants to take them to bed.....but Ive been managing to sneak them away and put them on the dresser!

Oh and here is the infamous STOOL!
She has been potty trained now for what seems like forever, but she cant get up to the toilet or wash her hands by herself! So we caved and got her a stool on Sat. mmmm she got it taken away on Sunday.
WHY? you ask.....Well I dont think we can afford the water bill anymore! She know that if her hands are dirty she needs to wash them! But she also thinks she needs a wet paper towel to scrub down the entire house, tables, chairs, her face etc.
I even caught her today getting her hands dirty on purpose (in Zachs new avocado plant) just so she could go "wash her hands!"
We will see when she gets her stool back!
I guess cleanliness is key RIGHT?

And then there was HANNAH!
Well I hate to say it but we had to put her in the next size up of diapers, thats right size 3!!!
Zoe was in size 2 until she was potty trained! That should tell you right there what kind of "Tank: we are dealing with!!

We have also started her on stage 1 food and here are some great shots of her eating applesauce the other night!

And of course, a full baby is a happy baby and here in her happiest form is a great big smile! Though she is only full for about 5 minutes she is always smiling!

So anyway, I hope you enjoyed some of our fun moments-The Meenach House is always busy and filled with exciting moments!
Hope you enjoyed all of them and cant wait to share more!

Picture Perfect

Have you ever had one of those moments that was "picture perfect"? Except you werent able to take a picture!
I had that just tonight, a picture perfect moment but now it is only in my memory. Sometimes I wish I had a camera guy following me around to got those sweet moments with the kids or husband (or days when I look and feel great!!)
Anyway, I was in feeding Hannah and in walks Zoe. Im thinking "oh great she is going to wake her up."
She comes in and hops into the chair and sits at the very edge on my knee, places her hand on the bottle and starts to help me feed her.
Of course that only lasted like 1 minute but she squirmed and repositioned and sat on the edge of the chair and gently places her hand on my shoulder.
As we are rocking in the chair she starts singing...........
picture perfect!

FUN

Yeah I was awared this by TWO people- yep you heard me right TWO!!! So I guess I should show the love and say whos' blog I love

Amy P. ( the mommy chronicles)- She is wonderful. I cant really describe her because she is too fabulous- but youll just have to read her blog-
encouraging!

Elizabethanie ( blogalicious)- She totally helped me get my blog going and she is great! We have been friends forever and and I think our kids will be friends forever (or at least by association!) It would take to long to describe her (in a good way!) but her blog is good and some of her playlist is good:) Mine is better because it has a little country!

Jenni (the hakensen family)-She is just getting going (mmm that doesnt sound right) anyway I love to read her blog because I miss her and her family and I can get caught up!

Oh and mine......its about my life and Ive got a pretty good one!!!

Baby number 3

So Ive been thinking about this post and wasnt sure how to start it- so I guess I will start with last night!
If you read my earlier post you wouldve seen that we babysat miss Clara yesterday! Clara and Zoe are about 3 months apart. They were playing having thier little conversations and just interacting like two "little adults" in kid talk of course!
After Clara left and we climbed into bed Zach asked: "So how do you feel about three kids?"
my reply: " I thought that was the plan?"
He said " that was my plan, but what do you think?"
I said " I wouldnt mind having three kids."
Zach was so excited and just loving how Clara and Zoe were interacting, "like they were little best friends" he said.
Its funny because I just realized that he isnt ever there for playdates, or cookie decorating, or birthday parties to see how much fun the little ones have!

Its funny though- when I was prego with Zoe I was so excited, as was my entire family and friend base. I was sick everyday (not throwing up thank goodness) but sick and uncomfortable, but so excited. Once I got past the rib pains, the sickness, the weight gain, the kidney stones there was delivery.
I went in for one of my last appt. I saw a male doctor. Let me tell you, first of all it was the first male dr. I had ever seen, secondly I had never met him before and thirdly he wanted to enduce me because I had strep B...... AAAAAAAAA. I was scared to death, but now am thankful that he was there because my uterus was inverted and according to the nurse if he couldntve fixed it I couldve blead (sp) to death or had to have a hystorectamy (thats spelled wrong too) anyway-
so scary right- massive complications for my first pregnancy, but a healthy baby.

So we move along, at that stage I couldnt have imagined having more than one child, I dont think that I was in the right place for that- I didnt know how to do anything....but we tried for another and got pregnant again.

The only thing on my mind for this pregnancy was my inverted uterus...lots of questions ran through my head: would if it happen again etc.
News to me its not very likely, but I was still concentrating on that issue.
So concentrating on that while throwing up everyday for 5 months was a blast!
So I go again to have baby number two! And to my suprise, the baby gets stuck.
Her head is out and they say "DONT PUSH" as she is coming out her clavical gets broken, no wonder, the girl weighed 8.5 pounds.
So we go in for our three day check-up and complications once again. Hannah has dropped almost a pound (not ounces a POUND) her b.r. count was 19- they wont let you leave the hospital if it is above a 10. So in three days she went to a 19-not good.
They usually weigh the baby, then have you feed her and weigh her again. My child gained nothing- so basically for three days she hadnt eaten.
We immediatly went to the ped. he started her on formula and sent us to get her tongue clipped, she had to be placed on a home system that gave her "sunlight" and everyday for four days an in home nurse came and sliced her little foot to get her b.r. count. On top of that she had to be fed (hungry or not) every two hours and everything had to be documented.
It was awful....on the last day the nurse came, cut her little foot and said they would contact us with the results.
When she called and said everything was 100% I broke down, Zach was in the bathroom and when he came out I couldnt even tell him what her number was, I had to write it down and show him.
So after baby number two thinking about three children does seem do-able, but I often contimplate the delivery and the first few days.
I know now looking back at the hospital stay that things werent exactly right, Hannah only opened her eyes a couple times, and after 6 hours of not eating it took the nurse to play with her little neck to get her to eat for just 5 minutes.
Baby number three will happen, I think that we will stay for an extra day and just make sure to watch the signs!
Its great to be on the same page with the one you love, to be so excited about something you cant stand it!
I love my kids now and am so happy to have two beautiful (and they are so damn cute) and healthy kids!
Heres to 2009 and baby number three!!!
Okay so yesterday we had the privelage of babysitting Miss Clara, and we had a great time! Here are a few pics and of course I wasnt paying attention so they went in backwards:(

The end of the night and they all got into their jammies
Getting ready for dinner, we pulled the table out so they could eat together, Clara spilled her corn and we swear she said "aaaa rats" and it was hilarious!

Here they are in the jeep

CHEESE
anyway, good times!

Friday, January 2, 2009

So what did you all do yesterday? Anything exciting? Well for us it was a nice quiet day, with the hubby home!
We set out to do some errands and accomplished a little something! I also attempted to make some cookies!
Most of you know I am not a baker, so thankfully a good friend (Amy P) brought me already made dough wrapped up......I kept it for one of those days-well yesterday was one of those days!
So I followed the directions, cut and bake at 350 for 10 minutes, and much to my surprise- I BURNT EM!
Suprise, suprise, I even follow directions and burn the stupid things!
So this post is a plea to the cookie giver (Miss Amy P), either she brings me a new batch and shows me how to cook them OR (capitalize OR) she can make them already cooked so I can taste them and enjoy them how they are suppose to be enjoyed.......(just a thought!)

Anyway, after my attempt to make cookies we attempted to put miss Zoe down for a nap- no luck. She ended up going to bed at 600pm and waking up at 7am!
So after a battle of my two year old for a few hours yesterday afternoon and miss Hannah following Zoes cue we did manage a few minutes of quiet time.
Other than that we did nothing but watch football and enjoy some lasagna (that we attempted to make ourselves).

What a day!

When it rains.....it pores:)

So here I am visiting the great town of wenatchee- great friends good family and two children! A two year old and a 6 week old. Never have I traveled this far ( 2 1/2 hours) by myself with them and the trip there- fantastic!! Well on the way home I was stopped by a road crew blowing up rocks- 20 minute delay- okay, so we wait the twenty minutes. We pass the flagger and of course it has been 2 hours since I fed the newborn so its time to eat she screams- we make it to the rest stop and POW its closed, so we pull over! Then in the middle of feeding my two year old yells POTTY MOMMY, POTTY MOMMY- great- I say. So I give her the option to go outside- NO WAY so I say " lets put on your sisters diaper and just this one time you can go in a diaper" NO WAY aaaaaaaaaaaa- what do I do...well, there is a fruit stand up the road! So we hop in the car, get to the fruit stand and I plead my case- YES they say, you can use the toilet!!!
okay, I think we are good to go...but of course we get behind three truckers!!!
So long story short our 2 1/2 hour trip ends up taking us almost four and we make it home to a loving husband and father and a batch of peanut butter cookies from the neighbor!
I guess there is always a rainbow at the end of a rainstorm- HUH?
